Over 25 years offering handmade carvings to the public market. We offer unique carvings of many different species, including swans, ducks, fish and other wildlife. All our decoys are individually hand painted for a rustic, singular finish. Swans have been the backbone of our business for many years. We make custom pieces of classic american folkart, including turtles, dogs, signs and many others. In addition we have a selection of custom hickory furniture including tables, shelves and fireplace mantels.
Fred grew up in the woods having a great appreciation for the forest and wildlife of lower michigan, his business is still based there today. He made his first carving at the age of 12 and has grown into a master carver with his pieces being found in all corners of the country.
All of our carvings are made of either red or white cedar. In addition they all have a protective finish allowing them to be displayed indoors or outdoors. Please know that each piece is unique, in that no two pieces will ever be exactly the same, due to being hand carved. Every piece of wood is different, therefore every carving will be different. Each piece is first roughed out by a chain saw, then finished by hand rasping and shaping. We offer 2 types of eyes in our carvings; you can choose between glass or plastic.
Our duck decoys make excellent and unique Fathers Day and Mothers Day gifts as well as a birthday or Christmas gift.
There are many different types and sizes of our basic carvings and custom work. We break down our site into our mainline pieces and our custom pieces. The waterfowl and fish are the mainline of work that we sell most often. If prices are not listed under an item please contact us as the size and type of art that you want will strictly determine the price. Small table-top waterfowl start at $55.00 with 18" two-sided fish $150.00 and one-sided $75.00. The gallery is all custom pieces that we have made for individuals.
